BRENDA Tiedtke was Prestatyn Running Club’s only female representative in the Green, Green Grass of Home race in Llangynhafal, the third and final race in the Clwydian Hills series, but she outshone the men.
Dean Longley, enjoying his first season on the fells, led the six-strong squad home in 21st place overall but Brenda was next in 56th place. David Owen continued his improvement in 86th position.
The placings were: 21 Dean Longley 46.57, 56 Branda Tiedtke 56.04, 86 David Owen 58.32, 81 Des Davies 59.09, 101 Steve Hatfield 66.26, 113 Jason Burton 71.37.
Three days later David Owen competed in the Push Up The Pincyn trail and fell-race at Clawddnewydd, clocking 73.43.
George Nicholls was the only club member to turn out in the Llanfair TH 10k mountain race, and he finished fourth in 42.20
