Club Members Dominate Road rankings
PRESTATYN Running Club’s supervet Griff Owens may have finished the year out of action with a knee injury but he can still look back on 2011 with great satisfaction. The provisional North Wales road rankings show that he again dominated his age-group, topping the list for 5k, 5 miles, 10k and 10 miles. Griff is not the only club member to feature prominently in the listings.

No fewer than 12 members are among the top three places in their respective age-groups. The others are:- Gay Waring (2nd L50 for 5 miles and10k), Sandy Roberts (2nd L50 for 5k), Shelley Ward (3rd L40 for 5k), Sian Beck (3rd L35 for 5m), Amie Bagnall (1st U17 for 10k, 2nd for 5 miles), Gareth Hughes (1st M65 for 5k and 5 miles), Steve Hatfield (1st M65 for half-marathon), Ron Harrison-Jones (1st M70 for 5k and 10m, 2nd for 5m, 10k and half-marathon), Roger Harrison-Jones (1st M70 for 10k, 3rd for 5k and 5m), David Hughes (2nd M70 for 5k and 3rd for 10k).
