PROUDEST MOMENT: The club’s performance (runners and officials) at the Welsh CC Champs in Ruthin, February, 2007; beating Richard Robson in NWCC Champs in Denbigh; that pb in London.
FAVOURITE TRAINING SESSION/ ROUTE: Anything off-road, but particularly in the Clwydian Hills
SPORTING HERO/HEROINE: Haile Gebrselassie – embodies everything good in the sport
OTHER SPORTS ENJOYED: In the past, football and tennis
WHAT I WOULD WISH FOR THE CLUB: Pete Blundell to turn up on time; a greater response from members (negative or positive) to appeals for feedback on issues; better turnouts from members in regional championships
FAVOURITE RACE: Welsh Castles Relays (any downhill stage)
HARDEST RACE: Any with Steve Hatfield breathing down my neck…and gaining
FAVOURITE RACE DISTANCE: These days…5k
FAVOURITE SPORTING MOMENTS: Watching athletes such as Gebrselassie or Bekele finding another gear at the end of exciting races.

FAVOURITE SINGER/GROUP: Rhys Meirion, Gogol Bordello (going through my third adolescence).
HATES/DISLIKES: Jonathan Ross; Ian Wright; the coast road (by the end of each winter); so many of the current generation who are not prepared to take on responsibility or contribute to society.
CRAZY MOMENTS: When a squirrel ran up Brian Evans’ leg while on the hills, sleeping through the final Border League race last year, which will take some living down.
OTHER HOBBIES: Crosswords and quizzes (surprise, surprise); reading; eating.; watching Anwen do DIY.
