A trip to the seaside meant that Prestatyn Running Club’s Julie Evans can now claim a “Full House”. By ticking off the newest Parkrun in North Wales – Y Promenad run in Barmouth – she completed the entire list of 14 runs in the region at Prestatyn, Greenfield, Wepre, Erddig, Ruthin, Llangollen, Bala, Dolgellau, Pwllheli, Newborough, Llangefni, Penrhyn and Conwy, as well as the former Bodelwyddan run. She has participated in 138 Parkruns and on Saturday she was joined by Emma Birchall, who needs only the Llangollen run for her own full set, Suzanne Evans and Vic and Clare Manley. Their placings were: 52 Emma 31.28, 58 Vic 32.45, 66 Clare 39.30, 67 Julie 40.45 and Suzanne 42.30.
Ann Claire Jones and Helen Alefounder travelled much further for their Parkrun – in The Hague, Netherlands, finishing in 24.19 and 26.53 respectively.

Three members returned to the Wirral last week for the third race in the Off-Road Trail Series, the venue being Wallasey. Marc Jones finished 93rd in 30.37, Ann Claire Jones 197th in 35.45 and Nicki Triggs 253rd in 41.11.
Mark Dakeyne was glad
that he had taken his trail shoes on holiday in the South West as he came across the Dulverston 10k race, which he finished in 64.15.
Several recent recruits turned out in the club’s handicap race on the Marsh Tracks circuit last week, with Jamie Betts recording the fastest time for the 5k course. The prize for the lowest time inside their estimated time went to Lesley Furneaux.
This weekend (29th) the club’s men and women will be hoping to get this season’s Borders Road-Running League off to a flying start in the opening fixture in Runcorn. The course at Norton Priory is a new one and members are reminded that the race starts at 10am, an hour earlier than usual.
