The Bank Holiday meant that there was quality and quantity in the Nova Parkrun as runners came from far afield.
Not only were there over 300 participants, but 16 finished inside 20 minutes, one of the highest percentages ever achieved.
Joshua Hourihan (Stockport) quickly opened a big lead and was never challenged, while behind him Prestatyn Running Club’s Alex Ryder was engaged in a real battle with unattached runners Aaron Hill and Darren Shire before pulling clear to take second place.
The places were: 2 Alex Ryder 18.05, 18 Dafydd Montgomery 20,30, 22 Jonathon Puleston-Jones 21.08, 23 Tom Coen 21.12, 31 Jonah Armstrong 22.05, 32 Judah Eastwell 22.15, 40 David Hudd 23.13, 41 Marc Jones 23.14, 42 Zack Webster 23.16, 47 Jack Lally 23.36, 55 Martin Cortvriend 24.24, 62 Lewis Pierce 25.03, 65 Reg Jonas 25.19, 69 Neil Davidson 25.35, 79 Ben Thomas 26.07, 172 Nicki Triggs 31.14, 176 Alice Archer 31.19, 193 Mark Dakeyne 32.16, 249 Roger Harrison-Jones 37.54, 307 Jo Edwards 57.55 (Tailwalker).
