Months of head-scratching, consultation and planning finally reached fruition last week when Prestatyn Running Club’s new kit arrived.
This is the fourth new design in the 43-year history of the club, and comes at a time when the club is entering a new era, with membership rising rapidly.
Much of the spadework was done by Jo Lewis, who put her marketing skills to good use in collating a range of suggestions. Sophie Johnson’s design skills were also utilized, and others Mike Davis also contributed to theproject.
One of the reasons for the change was to make it easier to identify the club members in competition, especially against other clubs with red vests and T-shirts.
It was also felt that the club’s Welsh identity should be stronger, primarily when competing over the border, and that was achieved by including a feint dragon design and the club’s name in Welsh on the rear.
